Opis
The experiments use components from the electrical machine teaching models system and utilise safety extra-low voltage. All machines are mounted on a base unit which is set up vertically in a training panel frame.
Objectives
- Recognising basic physical principles
- Recording machine characteristics
- Introduction to drive technology
- Use of simple tools (spanners, oil cans etc.)
This equipment set allows DC, AC and three-phase machines to be assembled from a few easily sorted separate components. The fully functional machines demonstrate the various combinations of stators and rotors and allow for investigation of the various circuit configurations. In spite of these educational machines having model-like characteristics, it is possible to demonstrate the physical processes and typical responses of large-scale machines. The machines are mounted on a base terminal unit and set up with special overlay masks. The open design makes it possible to observe the individual functioning parts in operation. All experiments are carried out using safety extra-low voltage. In addition to conventional machine types, the fundamental properties of linear motors are also covered. New to the range are the three-phase machines with permanently excited rotors made of rare earth metals (high-efficiency rotors).
The equipment set incorporates student experiments which can be carried out in a laboratory safely using safety extra-low voltage. Experiment instructions are contained in a manual in either printed or digital form.
The target group is made up of students in general or vocational education. The experiments are designed as an introduction at a simple level of understanding.
For more advanced understanding, E2.1.3.2 ELM High-efficiency machines for safety extra-low voltage is recommended.
